It is a network of people and organizations sharing skills and expertise to empower communities to be better resourced, more confident and engaged in climate conversations.
ICAN is the reference point for local climate activities in Inverclyde, it gathers events, resources and projects. It encourages collaborations and new partnerships for community-led actions and a cohesive environmental response, while providing a voice to the different communities of Inverclyde.
ICAN is part of a nation-wide network of organizations, set by the Scottish Government for the Net Zero strategy. aimed at cutting carbon emissions and build resilient communities to the climate impacts. ICAN represents the regional hub for Inverclyde with a place-based approach, promoting climate activities and community resilience among individuals and community-based organizations.
ICAN is part of the Inverclyde Community Development Trust Community Projects.
