TRAVEL

Sustainable Active Travel has great positive impacts on health and the environment. Walking and cycling are economical, better for physical and mental health, they reduce air pollution and cut carbon emissions, by just moving around freely!

Adopting sustainable travel modes is one of those small everyday action that has a greater impact on your own and others’ lives, and it helps building a healthier, cleaner and fairer place.

Community Tracks

Community Tracks is a cycle and recycle project based in Greenock. Since 2016, Community Tracks have been servicing, maintaining, repairing Inverclyde’s bicycles. They have saved tonnes of bikes and bike parts from landfill by helping the local community to stand on their own two wheels, build confidence, enjoy physical activity and learn new skills.

You can learn how to maintain your bike in Bikeability training and workshops through Inverclyde, in schools, businesses and community groups.

Or if you are a newbie, just pop-in and the Community Tracks team and volunteers will be there to help!

If you are interested in the training sessions, or joining as a volunteer, get in touch via the form at the bottom of the page.
