The Carbon Literacy Project® is an accredited training scheme that equips participants with knowledge on climate science and climate justice.
As a Transformative Action Program at COP21 in Paris (2015), the Carbon Literacy Project® raises “an awareness of the carbon costs and impacts of everyday activities, and the ability and motivation to reduce emissions, on an individual, community and organisational basis”.

Some participants have said:

“I think everything that was covered made me seriously think about my own carbon footprint and what steps I can take to reduce this.”

“This course had a lot of information and guidance, which gave me a better understanding of the issues being faced around the world. It was very informative and I feel more confident in having discussions about climate action now than I was beforehand.”

Each participant that attends a full day of training, will access an optional assessment on collective and individual climate pedges, to get the Carbon Literacy Certificate. This will reflect the knowledge gained throughout the course on global and local climate science and useful climate actions to take at individual and collective level, to reach the Net Zero emissions target.
